Celebrate Earth Day With AUA Acopian Center for the Environment and Maqoor NGO

About the Event:
On April 20, 2024, the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment, in partnership with Maqoor NGO (an environmental youth group), earthday.org, Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development of Communities, and Armenia Tree Project, will celebrate Earth Day with the following activities:
- Community litter clean ups across all Yerevan districts from 12:00-3:00pm (sign up here to participate in clean up activities)
- A group discussion on the role of youth in a clean and healthy future for all will be held with all eager participants from 4:00-7:00pm at the AUA Small Auditorium (registration is required; visit here).
About the Speaker:
During the conference, AUA Acopian Center for the Environment Director Alen Amirkhanyan and the Center’s Waste Policy Armenia Program Manager Harutyun Alpetyan, along with representatives from a number of organizations and state bodies including the Environmental Department of Yerevan Municipality, the Waste and Air Emissions Management Department of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia, as well as the Armenian Tree Project, Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development of Communities, American Councils, Climate Uturn, Earthday.org, and Maqoor NGO, will discuss the role of youth in a clean and healthy future.
