Join “Data Standardization: The What, The Why, and The How” talk by Arman Zakaryan at AUA on April 8, 2022.
For businesses, every customer is different and so is their data. Some businesses have the luxury to dictate the standards of the data they are collecting, while others have to sacrifice it for the sake of leaving the product customizable.
In this talk, Arman Zakaryan will:
- Describe what we mean by data standardization and what challenges does it impose
- Show why data standardization is important in real-world examples
- Present how can we get close to standardized data
He will also cover the algorithm used for one of the most common issues in data standardization: name matching.
