The Armenian Genocide: The Essential Reference Guide on AUA Library Shelves

< 1 min read
The AUA Library is proud to announce a new addition. This week, a copy of reference book entitled: The Armenian Genocide: The Essential Reference Guide (ABC-CLIO, Santa Barbara, 2015) was donated by editor Alan Whitehorn.

Alan Whitehorn, Ph.D., is an emeritus professor of Political Science at the Royal Military College of Canada, has lectured at AUA and greatly values his interactions with University colleagues. For this reason, the University is one of the first Armenian recipients to receive a copy of his book. The publication of this encyclopedic book was made possible with generous support from Prof. Alan Whitehorn’s former students from the Royal Military College of Canada.
“It is the first-ever encyclopedia published in English on the topic of the Armenian Genocide. Needless to say, it took several years to compile and publish and involved the contributions from a number of scholars”, remarked Alan Whitehorn.

Founded in 1991, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university located in Yerevan, Armenia and affiliated with the University of California. AUA provides a global education in Armenia and the region, offering high-quality, graduate and undergraduate studies, encouraging civic engagement, and promoting public service and democratic values.
