Humane and Sustainable Solutions to Stray Dogs
January 26, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm +04
Dr. Dagmar Mayer will talk about the importance of sterilization as the only effective, humane and sustainable solution to reduce the number of stray dogs. Dr. Mayer will also talk about Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), a UK based organization that works internationally to improve animal welfare by providing sustainable veterinary care. WVS has also started Mission Rabies (supported by Dogs Trust, the only charity in UK that does not put down a healthy dog). She will answer questions regarding when and how it’s allowed to euthanize a dog and their cooperation with Pro Paws. In addition, Dr. Mayer will talk about volunteer placements and surgical training available to those interested. WVS assists its associated charities by helping to find volunteers on an ongoing basis.
