October 11, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm +04

Road Traffic Injuries: A Global Public Health Problem Dr. Nino Paichadze American University of Armenia Turpanjian College of Health Sciences

About the Event:

The Armenia-US Collaboration to Address Chronic Disease via Education in Social Determinants Science (ACCESS) Project is offering a series of health seminars devoted to the importance of social determinants influencing non-communicable diseases. Every year, 1.3 million people are killed in road traffic crashes worldwide. Between 20 and 50 million more people are injured or disabled by these events, predominantly in low and middle-income countries. Road traffic injuries cause significant social and economic losses to individuals, their families, societies, and countries. These deaths, injuries, and losses are a preventable public health problem.
