AUA Teams Up with University Career Offices to Offer Improved Career Development Services

YEREVAN, Armenia –  On May 27, 2014, the American University of Armenia (AUA)’s Office of Alumni Relations and Career Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the career offices of eight other Armenian universities (the Armenian National Agrarian University, the Armenian National University of Architecture and Construction, the Armenian State Pedagogical University, the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, the State Engineering University of Armenia, the Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov, Yerevan State Economic University, and Yerevan State University) in order to collaborate in offering an increased scope of career development services to students. AUA was represented by Coordinator of the Office of Alumni Relations and Career Development Narine Petrosyan.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, the parties agreed on jointly organizing annual job fairs, to be hosted by one of the participating universities each year. AUA is planning to host the job fair in 2017, which will coincide with the graduation of the first undergraduate class. All party members also agreed on periodically organizing joint conferences, seminars, and consultations, as well any other kind of cooperation in the field of career development aiming to promote the presence of university students in the labor market.
