U.S. Declaration of Independence – 240

The Armenian Association of World History, the Department of World History (YSU), in cooperation with the College of Humanities & Social Sciences (AUA), with support from the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, are organizing an international conference dedicated to the 240th Anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.
The conference will cover the U.S. Declaration of Independence’s development, comments, and influences in wider historical, constitutional, political, theoretical-philosophical contexts from the late 18th century to the present day. The conference will lead a comprehensive study of the Declaration through an inter-disciplinary approach. Therefore, the organizers expect not only the participation of historians, but also of legal and political scientists, philosophers, and others.
Participant presentations will be published in а separate proceedings book.

Dr. Jack N. Rakove, Pulitzer Prize winner, Professor at Stanford University and Dr. Robert Allison, Professor of History at Suffolk University Boston will bе keynote speakers.
