Seminar: Decision Making Theory: Risk, Rationality and Human Behavior

This seminar gives an introduction to decision making and human behavior. Decision theory is an interdisciplinary framework, bringing together insights from psychology, economics, management, and mathematics.
The seminar will cover:
1. Decision making theory (describing optimal decision making and defining rational behavior)
2. How people make decisions in reality
Speaker:
Tatevik Hakobyan has been living in Switzerland for the past 3 years. She has been working as an actuarial consultant for Azenes GmbH whilst pursuing her second Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, majoring in Financial Engineering and Insurance Mathematics from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich).
