YEREVAN – On October 19 and 20, 2013, the American University of Armenia (AUA) hosted a two-day capacity building training entitled “Quality Assurance in Armenian Higher Education: Quest for Quality for Students.” The event was organized by the Armenian National Students’ Association, in partnership with the European Students’ Union, with the support of the TEMPUS Higher Education Reforms Expert Group.

The training aimed to identify student views on the quality of higher education in Armenia, particularly in comparison with the European experience, and to strengthen and empower meaningful student participation in  quality enhancement and assurance processes in higher education.

Founded in 1991, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university located in Yerevan, Armenia and affiliated with the University of California. AUA provides a global education in Armenia and the region, offering high-quality, graduate and undergraduate studies, encouraging civic engagement, and promoting public service and democratic values.
