OZONE: All There Is between You and UV

A short introduction into the problem of the ozone layer depletion will be followed by the international response and results gained by the joint efforts 30 years after the signature of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer; ozone depleting substances versus greenhouse gases which is the best choice.
About the Speakers
Ms. Liana Ghahramanyan, Ozone Focal Point in Armenia, Head of the National Ozone Unit, has been dealing with the ozone problems since 2005. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics from the State Economic University of Armenia and a number of certificates earned throughout her professional life. After working at the UNEP DTIE OzoneAction Branch in Paris she returned to Armenia with a new vision to help the country in meeting the obligations.
Ms. Anne Fenner, Information Manager at the UN Environment Programme. Ms. Fenner is working in the OzonAction’s Information Management Team on a wide range of information projects/services, awareness-raising activities, and outreach. She holds M.A. degree in General History from University of Turku (Finland) and another M.A. degree in International Relations from Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva (Switzerland). Ms. Fenner will join the information session via Skype from Paris, France.
