Webinar: Notary System of the Republic of Armenia

About the Event:
During the webinar the general characteristics of the notarial system of the Republic of Armenia, the confidentiality of notarial acts, and new amendments to the Law of the Republic of Armenia “About Notariate”, the primary purpose of which is to relieve the courts from being overloaded will be discussed. The main amendments relate to notarial verification of facts of legal significance, enforcement inscription by a notary, notarial verification of witnesses’ testimony, the authority of notaries to apply to cadaster for state registration of rights arising from real-estate contracts, and more. Other powers of notaries, as well as problematic aspects of inheritance law and the existing loopholes in legislation in that sphere will also be discussed.
