< 1 min read

On November 16, researchers Varduhi Hayrumyan and Zaruhi Grigoryan from the American University of Armenia (AUA) Avedisian Onanian Center for Health Services Research and Development (CHSR) within the Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian School of Public Health (SPH) were invited to Armenian Public Radio’s morning program (Առավոտը Հանրայինում, starts at 24:30) to speak about the importance of quitting smoking and to provide practical tips on smoking cessation. Their talk aligned with the American Cancer Society’s annual “Smokeout” day, which has taken place every third Thursday of November since the 1970’s. The event is designed to challenge smokers to quit, and raises awareness of practical tools to help with smoking cessation.
