The workshop was held using both online and face-to-face formats. Shant Navasardyan, mentor, presented a hands-on session on texture synthesis and hole filling by matching image patches. The lecture was followed by a problem-solving discussion during which students had a chance to ask questions and test their understanding of the topic. The workshop was highly interactive and participants had the opportunity to voice diverse opinions on the topic and add value to the learning outcomes of the meeting.

AUA and PicsArt have been working together to create a new model that will promote science and research while growing academic and professional capacity in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Projects and workshops on the topic are ongoing.

Last year, AUA and PicsArt announced the collaborative launch of an AI Lab that will employ faculty and students to conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning and computer vision. This will offer AUA students the unique opportunity to gain research experience in addition to applied software engineering skills greatly valued by companies in the IT field.
