Vartkes Mahtesian, Armenian Representative to Cyprus Parliament, Visits AUA, Discusses Future Collaborations

YEREVAN, Armenia – The American University of Armenia (AUA) recently received a visit from Mr. Vartkes Mahtesian, the Armenian representative to the parliament of Cyprus. Mr. Mahtesian, along with his wife, were visiting AUA for the first time and had the opportunity to take a tour of the university and meet with AUA President Armen Der Kiureghian and Vice President of Operations Ashot Ghazaryan.

The goal of the meeting was to introduce the university, open discussions for future collaboration with the Armenian community in Cyprus, and consider options for bringing more diasporan Armenians from Cyprus to study at AUA.

Mr. Mahtesian and his wife were very impressed with the university and promised to pass the message of cooperation on to the Armenian community in Cyprus.
