CSE Lecturer Elected Director of Institute of Molecular Biology

A.-ArakelyanYEREVAN, Armenia – Arsen Arakelyan, Adjunct Lecturer in the American University of Armenia (AUA)’s College of Science & Engineering (CSE), was recently elected as the Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The research activities of the IMB focus on investigation of mechanisms of development and progression of autoimmune, auto-inflammatory, cerebrovascular, infectious, oncological, and psychiatric disorders. An important area of research is the Armenian genome study using pathogenomics, ecogenomics, immunogenomics, and population genomics and bioinformatics approaches.
