The SISO result has been successfully tested on a levitation system. An extension to the MIMO case has also been developed which simultaneously achieves decentralized control\, i.e. decoupling of the interaction of the closed loop of a multi-variable system while using local (diagonal) controllers. The result is a quasi-diagonal closed loop transmission on a given frequency band\, as well as closed loop diagonal output fast time responses.
