Water Treatment and Re-Use for “Near Zero-Discharge” Aquaculture Facilities

December 18, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm +04

Liquid and solid salty waste from recirculating aquaculture systems (RASs) are often a source of environmental pollution and salinization of receiving soils and water bodies. Therefore, there is an increasing need to treat these wastes in order to minimize their volume, strength and environmental impact.
The current talk will address several environmentally friendly and low-coast approaches to the liquid and solid removal and recycling in RASs and development of “Near Zero-Discharge” aquaculture systems.
