About the Event:

The AUA OCE for Transformative Health Solutions, the Turpanjian College of Health Sciences, in partnership with the National Institute of Health after Academician Avdalbekyan, are hosting an initiative webinar on “Tobacco Control in a Time of Tobacco Industry Revolution”.

The initiative webinar will discuss the nature of the rapidly evolving tobacco policy and retail context globally, as well as implications for future research to advance our evidence base and global research capacity.

About the Speaker:

Carla J. Berg, PhD, MBA is a Professor and Associate Chair for Research in the Department of Prevention and Community Health within George Washington University‘s Milken Institute School of Public Health and Associate Center Director for Population Sciences and Policy at George Washington University Cancer Center. Her research focuses on multilevel determinants of health behavior. In particular, her research examines tobacco and marijuana use in the context of related policies and marketing influences; policy adoption, implementation and evaluation; and developing and testing scalable behavioral interventions to reduce chronic disease risk and burden.
