Corporate governance has been acknowledged as an issue of global importance. As it comes to natural resource extraction, a  comprehensive corporate governance becomes even more vital in addressing challenges related to transparency, accountability, board oversight, respect for the rights of shareholders and role of key stakeholders. From this perspective, the public lecture will focus on understanding key linkages between good corporate governance and extractives sector sustainability, as well as discuss how corporate governance in the local context can be revamped to cater adequately for both public and private interests.

The event is in English and is open to public.
