Predicting Game Results with Distributions and Models

About the Event:
We are going to look at the baseline models for sport game result predictions. We will look at the Poisson distribution and Poisson regression for football, normal distribution for NBA games, Bradley-Terry model for NFL. These modeling techniques will give you some baseline prediction on the game outcome. The very basic knowledge in statistical distributions and regression modeling will be enough to do this kind of predictions. If you are an analytics enthusiast and sport fan, and thinking where to start, come to AUA!
