About the Event:
From June 26-30, the American University of Armenia (AUA) Master of Laws (LL.M.) program will host key sessions of the International Mediation and Diplomacy Congress/Competition (IMDC) 2026, titled “Phoenix Armenia 2026.”
Organized in collaboration with the International Association of Mediators and Poly-Experts and the IMDC Organizing Committee and Resolve Academy, the event will bring a global community of practitioners and scholars to AUA.
The Global Mediation & Diplomacy Congress PHOENIX 2026 will convene diplomats, mediators, academics, policymakers, civil society leaders, and youth to engage in dialogue on innovative, inclusive, and forward-looking approaches to international mediation and diplomacy. Set against a backdrop of rapid global transformation, the congress aims to foster collaborative solutions to complex cross-border challenges and promote the development of more resilient and adaptive frameworks for dispute resolution.
IMDC 2026 will be held in a hybrid format, enabling both in-person and online participation to ensure broad international engagement. The congress will be followed by the IMDC Competition, where teams will apply mediation and diplomacy skills in a dynamic, practice-oriented setting, further strengthening the event’s commitment to bridging theory and practice.
