How to Build an AI Community

In the coming years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will surely transform the world as we know it. Thanks to the recent advancements in Machine Learning, we can now solve the problems that remained unsolvable for decades. Machines reach super-human levels in multiple tasks, including complex decision making or cognitive perception.

Nevertheless, we believe that we still have a lot to learn about machine intelligence and how to leverage its potential. We also believe that there is not enough AI experts in the world and sharing knowledge is the best way to build a sustainable and dynamically growing community of specialists.

 

Christophe Zoghbi is a software engineer and technical manager with over eight years of experience in development and various fields of Data Science and AI. After working with mobile application development for five years, he transitioned to the field of Machine Learning and worked as a consultant on many projects, involving Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing problems.

He is also the founder of Beirut AI, the applied AI community in Lebanon, where he organizes community events and technical workshops to help people understand and apply AI. He was also the organizer of Papers We Love, Lebanon chapter, a community for reading and discussing academic computer science papers.
