About the Event:

During this lecture, the speaker will shortly cover the fundamentals of neural networks, while talking about auto-differentiation and computational graphs. He will proceed with complete explanation and derivation of modern methods, ideas, and tricks that utilize functional gradients.
 
About the Speaker: 
Erik Arakelyan (CS 18) is a Machine Learning engineer completing his MSc at University College London. As of now, he is primarily interested in NLP and variational methods in ML. Arakelyan was formerly employed at Wolfram R&D as a software Engineering Consultant in the Signal Processing team and also at Teamable as a Machine Learning Engineer.
