About the Event:
Green Agenda Armenia Conference 2026 is a day-long event that builds on the momentum of the project’s previous initiatives to further advance the green transition agenda in Armenia.
The conference will serve as a platform to bring green transition topics into broader public discussion, strengthen the positioning of Green Agenda Armenia, and showcase ongoing initiatives contributing to national progress.
The event will bring together representatives from government, international organizations, donor-funded projects, the private sector, academia, and civil society, alongside journalists and media professionals.
The conference is organized by the Sweden-funded Green Agenda Armenia project, implemented by Stockholm Environment Institute and the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment, in collaboration with the EU4Green Recovery East project.
The conference will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, and breakout sessions covering key areas such as waste management, water, air quality, biodiversity, and alignment with EU environmental standards, including CEPA-related developments.
The project “Green Agenda for Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine” aims to support the three countries in making substantial advances in meeting the European Green Deal’s (EGD) ambitious objectives of economic growth, climate neutrality, pollution prevention, and biodiversity protection. The project, launched in Yerevan in 2023, is a collaborative initiative implemented by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) in partnership with the Government of Armenia, supported by Sweden, with the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment serving as the implementing partner in Armenia since June 2025.
