About the Event:
Finland became a successful welfare state from a poor rural country a century ago. As an EU member state for 25 years, it took over the rotating Presidency of the European Union in July, 2019. This seminar is meat to find out the reasons behind Finland’s success story as a welfare state and will answer the following questions:
- What kind of priorities does Finland have?
- What are Finland’s foreign and security policy priorities?
- How can a small state be more influential compared to its larger counterparts?
