Digital and Virtual Platforms for Environmental Education

Description

Two speakers Dr. Artur Avagyan and Ms. Lusine Gharajyan will make brief presentations, initiating a discussion on the role of digital and virtual platforms for education and particularly environmental education. Dr. Artur Avagyan will talk about efforts in Armenia to create virtual educational platforms. His talk will focus on his efforts at the Yerevan State University, Laboratory of New Learning Technologies, and the Armenian Virtual College. Ms. Lusine Gharajyan will present efforts by GIZ, the German international cooperation agency, to create a digital/virtual platform for environmental and ecological education in Armenia. The presentations will be followed by a discussion about paths to pursue in further development and institutionalization of such platform(s) in Armenia.

Speakers

Dr. Artur Avagyan, an assistant professor at the Information Technologies Educational and Research Center of the Yerevan State University as well as the Head of the Center’s Laboratory of New Learning Technologies. Since 2008, Dr. Avagyan is also the development team manager at the Armenian Virtual College.

Ms. Lusine Gharajyan, an expert for Environmental Education and Private Sector Cooperation at the Programme Sustainable Management of Biodiversity

in GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).

Moderator

Mr. Alen Amirkhanian, Director of the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment.

Դր. Արթուր Ավագյանը և Տկն. Լուսինե Ղարաջյանը հանդես կգան հակիրճ զեկուցումներով՝  առաջ բերելով քննարկում թվային և վիրտուալ հարթակների դերը կրթության՝ մասնավորապես բնապահպանական կրթության մեջ թեմայի շուրջ:  Դր. Արթուր Ավագյանը կխոսի Հայաստանում վիրտուալ կրթական հարթակներ ստեղծելու փորձերի մասին: Նրա զեկույցը կանդրադառնա Երևանի պետական համալսարանի «Նորագույն կրթական տեխնոլոգիաների լաբորատորիայում» և Հայկական վիրտուալ համալսարանում իր փորձերին: Տկն. Լուսինե Ղարաջյանը կներկայացնի Գերմանիայի միջազգային համագործակցության ընկերության փորձերը ուղղված Հայաստանում բնապահպանական և էկոլոգիական կրթության համար թվային/վիրտուալ հարթակ ստեղծելուն: Զեկուցումներին կհաջորդի քննարկում Հայաստանում այսպիսի հարթակ(ների) հետագա զարգացման և համակարգման ուղիներին հետևելու վերաբերյալ:

Արթուր Ավագյան,  ԵՊՀ-ի ՏՏ կրթական և հետազոտական կենտրոնի ասիստենտ դասախոս,  նույն կենտրոնի «Նորագույն կրթական տեխնոլոգիաների լաբորատորիայի» ղեկավարն է և Հայկական վիրտուալ համալսարանի զարգացման թիմի ղեկավար: 2008թ.-ից ի վեր Դր. Ավագյանը աշխատում է որպես Հայկական վիրտուալ համալսարանի զարգացման թիմի ղեկավար:
