Consultative Workshop on Biogas in Armenia

April 22 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm +04

About the Event:

The American University of Armenia (AUA) Acopian Center for the Environment is hosting a consultative workshop on “Biogas for Armenia”, which will take place on April 22, in Manoogian Hall.

This consultative workshop will serve as a multi-stakeholder platform bringing together policymakers, donors, businesses, civil society, experts, academia, and other key actors to explore the potential of biogas in Armenia.

The discussion will be informed by preliminary findings from a national biogas assessment conducted by Renew Energy, a Danish engineering consultancy with extensive international experience in the field. Through expert presentations and breakout sessions, the event aims to facilitate discussions and gather feedback on key challenges, enabling conditions, and strategic priorities for advancing biogas as a sustainable energy solution and biowaste management approach in Armenia.

The workshop is part of the Waste Policy Armenia (WPA) program, funded by Sweden and implemented by the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment. It is organized in collaboration with the AUA Energy Transitions for Climate Solutions initiative.
