GEF/UNIDO Cleantech Business Competition

The AUA College of Science and Engineering and the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment are co-sponsoring an informational event to be held at AUA on April 16, 2014 on Clean Technologies Business, Products, and Prototypes Competition organized in Armenia this year.
The Competition is part of Global Environmental Facility (GEF)’s and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)’s program to promote innovation in clean technologies among Armenian small and medium enterprises. The model used in this program is based on the Cleantech Open’s proven accelerator model originally created in Silicon Valley. The Cleantech Open runs the world’s largest clean technology accelerator which supported over 865 startups, 40% of which raised about $800M.
The technology categories of Cleantech Armenia Programme that qualify for consideration include:
1. Energy Efficiency
2. Renewable Energy
3. Waste to Energy
4. Water and Efficiency
Details of the Competition and its eligibility requirements will be discussed on at AUA’s Alex & Marie Manoogian Hall on April 16, 2014 at 3:30PM. The event is open to the public. All AUA students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
