This panel, featuring work primarily in the visual arts, explores the possibilities afforded by visual representations of subjects that otherwise hide, slip away, or fall off into forgetfulness or into the void—into folds, interstices, voicelessness, or effacement. The forgotten, the overlooked, the antiquated, or unpreserved that might otherwise meet with erasure are here memorialized.
