ArdInnoTekh and its Training and Internship Program

Dr. Artyom Nahapetyan

ArdInnoTekh was established in 2008 as a software development company. The company collaborates with Optym (formerly Innovative Scheduling) in designing and developing world class enterprise grade systems for transportation industry. Specifically, its clients include large railroad, mining, shipping, airline, and trucking companies from all 5 continents. During last 5+ years, the company rapidly grew to the current 35+ developers and continues hiring new employees.

During this presentation, Dr. Nahapetyan will talk about ArdInnoTech, its structure and business model, projects the company does, technologies used in the development and etc. The company is also announcing a training program for talented students who would like to take software developer career path in the company. The presentation will cover goals, curriculum, and opportunities the program provides in the company.

Speaker:

Artyom Nahapetyan has a rich background in Mathematical science and Engineering. He graduated from Department of Mathematics, Yerevan State University, in 1996 with diploma of honor. He also received his Master degree in Math from Armenian State Engineering University in 1998. Dr. Nahapetyan is one of the AUA alumni; he received his Master degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from American University of Armenia in 2001. In 2002, he started his PhD studies at ISE department, University of Florida and defended his thesis in 2006.

Dr. Nahapetyan also has a rich working experience in software development, OR application, and business development. Before leaving for PhD studies, he worked at AUA and HPLA (acquired lately by Synopsys). After receiving his PhD, he accepted the offer to join Innovative Scheduling Inc. (IS) located in Gainesville, FL. During next 5 years he was developing several optimization and simulation software for railroad and trucking industries, and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Research and Development. In 2011, Dr. Nahapetyan moved to Houston, TX, where he was developing pickup and delivery (PnD) software for different waste collecting business units at Waste Management Inc. Currently he is developing his own consulting and software development business.
