YEREVAN, Armenia — On April 22, the third annual Tournament of Minds was held at the American University of Armenia (AUA), where the General Education team won the competition, marking its second time claiming the Tournament of Minds trophy.
The event was organized by the Student-Faculty Collaboration Committee (SFCC) and brought together teams representing General Education, as well as AUA’s four colleges, for an evening of lively competition, collaboration, and entertainment. Students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute once again joined the event, contributing to the spirited atmosphere and strengthening connections with the AUA community.
The event’s masters of ceremony were AUA adjunct lecturer Vigen Vartevanian and AUA Student Council representative and SFCC member Ani Ter-Sahakyan (BAEC ’27). Trivia categories included favorites from previous years, such as music, history, mythology and culture, Armenian society, geography, language and poetry, and identifying musical artists and bands.
Student clubs at AUA, including the Dungeons & Dragons Club, also assisted SFCC before and during the event. Attendees additionally enjoyed a live electric guitar performance by Arthur Neyman (BAB ’27).
Now in its third consecutive year, Tournament of Minds continues to grow as one of SFCC’s signature community events. The Committee looks forward to welcoming an even larger, more lively, spirited, and fun group of participants and attendees next year.
SFCC also extends its sincere gratitude to its ever-supportive prize donors, Zeituna Restaurant and Van Ardi Winery, for helping make the event possible.
The Committee’s events are designed to promote, encourage, and strengthen student-faculty interaction and networking across the AUA community.
