YEREVAN, Armenia — On May 27, the American University of Armenia (AUA) Career Services organized the 2026 AUA Career Fair, welcoming 50 companies and organizations to campus. The event created a dynamic space where students and alumni had the opportunity to discover career possibilities, interact with recruiters, and strengthen their professional skills through workshops and mock interviews.
Each year, AUA Career Fair serves as an important meeting point between employers and the AUA community, helping students take their first steps toward professional development long before graduation. By bringing together organizations from diverse industries, the event allows participants to better understand the changing demands of today’s labor market and explore opportunities that match their interests and ambitions.
This year’s participating organizations represented sectors including banking, technology, hospitality, consulting, cybersecurity, education, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, renewable energy, and insurance. Companies and organizations participating in the fair included AUA, Central Bank of Armenia, AMIO Bank, Marriott Hotel Yerevan, Siemens, Ardshinbank, Acba Bank, Hayasa Hotel, SoftConstruct, Ameriabank, VTB Bank, Grant Thornton, Fast Bank, IDBank, Idram, Skills for Life, Smart Start, IAB International Academy of Business, Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA), Inecobank, BostonGene, Coca-Cola HBC Armenia, Ingo Armenia, Magnus, Glovo, EFES Insurance, DataArt, AMX, Align Technology, STEM School of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, EPAM, GoPeak, Nairi Insurance, Holiday Inn Yerevan, Tufenkian Hospitality, BDO Armenia, FYM Hospitality Group, Aregak UCO, Arpi Solar, Stellar Hotels, State Revenue Committee Training Center, Emerson/NI, WorldQuant, Emater, KPMG, and EY Armenia.
Throughout the day, students and graduates had the opportunity to meet company representatives, learn about available positions and internships, and gain insight into workplace expectations and career growth opportunities. The event also encouraged attendees to expand their professional connections and become more confident in presenting themselves to potential employers.
Alongside the expo, a series of professional development workshops was conducted by experts from participating companies. The sessions covered a wide range of career-related topics, including global career opportunities in the hospitality industry, career paths in solar energy, digital transformation and cybersecurity, interview preparation, LinkedIn branding, and strategies for standing out during the recruitment process.
Interactive discussions and practical advice made the workshops especially engaging for students preparing to enter the workforce. Participants asked questions, received guidance from industry professionals, and gained a clear understanding of the skills currently valued by employers.
The event concluded with mock interviews. Human Resources specialists and recruiters from 10 partner companies conducted practice interviews with students and graduates, allowing participants to experience a realistic interview environment in a supportive setting. Students selected positions they were interested in and received professional feedback on their communication, presentation, and interview performance.
A participating student, Nune Arakelyan (BAB ’29), noted, “I really enjoyed the fair, the workshops, and especially the mock interview session. During the mock interview, I was given the opportunity to speak for around 20 minutes with a representative from Glovo, and honestly, the conversation changed my perspective on many things, including what I should focus on moving forward in my career journey.”
Beyond employment opportunities, the 2026 AUA Career Fair highlighted the importance of networking, self-development, and career exploration. By connecting students, alumni, and employers in one collaborative environment, the event once again reinforced AUA’s commitment to supporting career readiness and lifelong professional growth.
