YEREVAN, Armenia — The Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics (MSCBE) at the American University of Armenia, is proud to announce that Assistant Professor Dr. Narek Ohanyan earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder designation and has joined the CFA Institute as a charterholder member.

The CFA credential is regarded as one of the most respected and recognized investment titles globally. Earning this distinction is the culmination of a multi-year, rigorous process that tests a candidate’s mastery of advanced portfolio management, financial analysis, and quantitative methods. Often referred to as the “gold standard” of the financial industry, the charter is held only by those who demonstrate exceptional technical skill and a deep commitment to professional integrity.

Beyond the technical complexity of the exams, the CFA charter is upheld by a commitment to ethical conduct and the highest standards of professional practice. By joining the CFA Institute, Dr. Ohanyan aligns himself with a community dedicated to promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence in financial markets.

Reflecting on the journey to this milestone, Dr. Ohanyan said: “The CFA program masterfully integrates advanced financial theory with real-world market practice, transforming rigorous academic concepts into actionable insights that immediately elevate classroom instruction. Joining the CFA community allows me to bring the highest global standards of ethics and valuation directly into the classroom, ensuring I cultivate the next generation of financial leaders with the practical expertise and integrity required to shape the future of the financial industry.”

Dr. Ohanyan’s significant achievement will serve as an asset to his colleagues and the broader professional community.

MSCBE continues to support its faculty, students, and alumni in pursuing global certifications, reinforcing its commitment to advancing impactful research, informed financial practice, and inclusive economic development.
