AUA President Dr. Bruce Boghosian congratulated Dr. Malekian on this distinguished appointment, remarking, “AUA takes pride in Dean Malekian’s continued contributions to the scientific leadership at the University. This appointment further reflects the commitment of the Akian College of Science and Engineering to excellence and its growing recognition within the international scientific community. ACSE’s faculty are actively involved in high-impact research and international scholarly collaborations, contributing to advancements across diverse fields of engineering and science. Under Dr. Malekian’s leadership, the College fosters an internationally oriented academic environment, where students benefit from exposure to world-class research, cross-border partnerships, and opportunities for academic and professional mobility.”

Dr. Malekian also serves as deputy editor-in-chief for special issues at IET Communications, working with Editor-in-Chief Professor Jian Ren of Michigan State University and fellow Deputy Editor-in-Chief Professor Honggang Wang of the Katz School of Science and Health at Yeshiva University in the United States.
