EPIC Launches 18th Incubation Cohort

08.04.2026

YEREVAN, Armenia — The Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Center (EPIC) at the American University of Armenia (AUA) officially launched  its 18th Incubation Program with eleven startup teams set to spend the coming months presenting  their ideas, refining their products, and building the foundations of their  businesses. The opening session marked the beginning of an intensive program with over seventeen former  cohorts, becoming  one of Armenia’s most consistent pipelines for early-stage venture development.

About the Program

EPIC’s Incubation Program is designed  to take early-stage startups from an idea to an established  business. Teams work through a curriculum that spans customer discovery, market research and MVP planning, supported  by mentors with experience in both the Armenian and international startup ecosystems. EPIC Incubation focuses  on the earliest and most critical phase: making sure founders are solving a real problem in a way the market demands. The Incubation program provides a solid foundation, based on which teams can continue their journey and apply to acceleration programs upon graduation or directly move to product development and market entry.

I believe the strongest incubation programs are built like real-life, and that’s exactly how we operate. We structure the EPIC journey around clear milestones, track progress through well-defined KPIs, and ensure every step is measurable, intentional, and motivating for our teams. Hopefully, this cohort will also benefit from the resources that we provide,” says Incubation program lead, Operations and Community Manager Anna Khachatryan.

New Cohort

This cycle’s teams are working  across a wide range of industries, including education technology, media and film production, mental and physical health, art, retail, and social networking. The diversity of the cohort reflects the range  of problems Armenian entrepreneurs focus on  such as automating clinical diagnostics to rethinking how people buy wall art.

The startups of the cohort are:

Mooflon — Is an AI-powered app that makes Armenian university entrance exam preparation accessible to every student by avoiding  the cost and logistics of private tutoring, and turning complex  educational resource materials into a gamified mobile experience with personalized explanations and built-in parent progress tracking.

Artiflect — Many art buyers feel overwhelmed by endless options and what will fit their space. Artiflect is a curated online platform of professional photography prints that removes that uncertainty through intelligent guidance and a carefully selected collection, offering a simpler and more confident path to meaningful, affordable wall art.

ReSell — Businesses struggle with high customer acquisition costs and slow sales cycles. ReSell is a platform that lets anyone refer new customers to businesses and earn a commission on successful transactions, creating an expandable  performance-based sales channel that reduces acquisition cost and accelerates growth.

HemAI Dynamics — Manual hematological diagnosis is slow and error-prone. HemAI Dynamics automates slide scanning and cell classification with clinical-grade accuracy via a motorized attachment that retrofits existing lab infrastructure, cutting turnaround times and improving diagnostic precision without requiring prohibitive capital investment.

Achievo —Students, young professionals, and freelancers struggle to present their work thoroughly with achievements scattered across LinkedIn, GitHub, Instagram, and personal folders. Achievo is a privacy-first personal hub where users organize achievements into a visual, interactive timeline with attachments, and auto-generate CVs, motivation letters, and application packages

Ancanot — Ancanot addresses growing social disconnection among young people by creating a mobile platform for spontaneous, real-time conversations. Through private voice and text chats with randomly matched users, the app offers a low-pressure way to meet and connect with others, starting with local Gen Z users then  expanding internationally.

CinéLock — Film and media production companies in Armenia lack a reliable way to find and book filming locations. CinéLock is a specialized marketplace connecting production companies with verified film-ready locations, featuring clear technical specifications and pre-negotiated terms, making location scouting, booking, and production logistics quicker  and legally secure.

Minder — Access to mental health support remains stigmatized, hence  Minder combines anonymous community forums, private wellness tracking, and a verified therapist marketplace in one platform, connecting users with culturally-aware, licensed psychologists through an  anonymous ID system.

Verify — As AI-generated misinformation floods the internet, it’s difficult to identify genuine content.. Verify is a content verification tool  that helps users quickly detect AI-generated content and misinformation.

Glypho — Engineers constantly switch between AI tools and diagramming tools, manually connecting  the two, resulting in outdated and untrustworthy system documentation. Glypho is an AI-powered infinite canvas that connects to a GitHub repository and auto-generates a living system map where every node holds real context and can be engaged with individually.

FilmAxis — Filmmakers and small production teams struggle to find collaborators and identify opportunities with no trusted network to discover, pitch, and build projects together. FilmAxis connects filmmakers, industry professionals, and small film companies through project listings and smart matching, reducing complications  across development and production.

Looking Ahead

EPIC continues to serve as a critical bridge between ambition and execution for Armenian entrepreneurs. The teams joining this cohort will spend the coming months stress-testing their assumptions, sharpening their value propositions, and building toward their first real market achievements. Their progress will be a reflection not only of their own effort, but of the growing depth and progress of Armenia’s startup ecosystem. Join us in June to take part in Demo Day and learn what they have achieved during the Incubation Program.
