YEREVAN, Armenia — The American University of Armenia (AUA) Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Clinic and the Chamber of Mediators of the Republic of Armenia invite applications for participation in the Mediation in Action Spring School 2026.
In light of the growing role of mediation, particularly following the introduction of mandatory mediation for certain civil cases, there is a strong need to build capacity among future legal professionals and to familiarize students with mediation law, procedures, and practical skills. At the same time, students increasingly seek hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that bridge theory and practice.
The Mediation Spring School 2026 is designed as an intensive educational and experiential program that combines expert-led training, simulations, and competitive practice. It will serve as a pipeline for identifying and preparing motivated students for further involvement in real mediation cases under the joint AUA–Chamber of Mediators framework.
The objective of the Mediation Spring School 2026 is to provide Armenian students with foundational knowledge and practical experience in mediation, while fostering early professional engagement with licensed mediators and strengthening the national mediation ecosystem.
The sessions will provide a comprehensive introduction to mediation, covering its core theoretical foundations and the framework of mandatory mediation in the Republic of Armenia. They will combine theory with practice through interactive role plays and simulations, and will conclude with a mock examination to reinforce learning and assess participants’ understanding.
The Mediation Spring School will take place from March 11-14, 2026 at AUA.
The Spring School is free of charge and open to students from all universities of the Republic of Armenia.
Participation is limited to 21 applicants.
The language of instruction is Armenian.
Interested candidates are invited to apply here.
Application deadline is March 6, 2026 (11:59 p.m. GMT).
