YEREVAN, Armenia — On October 14, second-year students of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program of the American University of Armenia’s (AUA) Turpanjian College of Health Sciences (TCHS) delivered poster presentations describing their internship experiences in various public health organizations. This was the 12th poster session organized for MPH students. The internship program is coordinated by TCHS Associate Professor Dr. Tsovinar Harutyunyan.
Students enrolled in this MPH course completed internships at the HENAR Foundation, the State Health Agency of the Ministry of Health, ClinChoice, OncoDaily, ARMED E-Health Operator, Fund for Armenian Relief, Wigmore Clinic, National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, and CardioLab Medical Clinic.
The posters were reviewed by TCHS faculty and researchers, representatives of the aforementioned internship organizations, and MPH program students and alumni, as well as other guests. Attendees voted for the best poster at the conclusion of the student presentations. Anna Tamerian (MPH ’26) received the highest number of votes in this round. Additionally, the Scientific Committee, comprising TCHS faculty and researchers, selected both Tamerian’s and Araz Shikoyan’s (MPH ’26) posters as the best posters. Dr. Harutyunyan presented certificates and small gifts to the winners.
The MPH internship program aims to provide students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the classroom to real-world public health projects, while also allowing them to work directly with public health professionals.
“This year, our students have worked on a number of important and innovative projects in the scope of the MPH internship course. We are thankful to all Internship Preceptors for hosting the students at their organizations and supporting them throughout their work. The MPH internship poster session is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their work and connect with their peers, TCHS faculty and researchers, and representatives of various public health organizations,” remarked Dr. Harutyunyan.
All posters are available for viewing in the MPH Poster Book.
