AUA Extension Kicks Off New Round of English Classes for Young Adults

30.09.2025

YEREVAN, Armenia — American University of Armenia (AUA) Extension warmly welcomed 820 schoolchildren, ages six to 16, to the next round of its popular EEC afterschool English program at the AUA Najarian Center.

Developed to foster interest in English language learning, the EEC Program has been a cornerstone of AUA’s educational outreach since 2005. Over the years, the program has grown to become one of the most sought-after extracurricular language initiatives in Armenia, helping generations of students build a strong foundation in learning the English language.

Again this fall, students were placed across multiple groups ranging from true beginners to advanced learners to match their individual learning needs and attain the desired objectives. Over the 10-week course, held twice weekly from September 15 to November 21, students will engage in dynamic, interactive lessons designed to strengthen not only their language skills, but also their confidence and communication abilities.

True to its mission, AUA Extension’s EEC program emphasizes a student-centered approach and the use of innovative teaching methods, creating an environment where learning English is both effective and enjoyable. Upon completion, each participant receives a certificate indicating their language proficiency level.

The success of the program lies in its consistency and accessibility. With registration available four times a year— fall, winter, spring, and summers — students and parents can choose the schedule that best fits their needs.

AUA Extension is the non-degree educational program of the American University of Armenia (AUA), with programs especially geared to meeting the educational needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds and occupations, as well as governments and corporate organizations. Extension courses are intended to expand participants’ knowledge for personal growth and professional development to best suit individual goals and career choices. Thus, Extension helps students reach their highest potential, whether for admission to AUA or for expanding knowledge and skills to become more competitive in the labor market. Additionally, AUA Extension provides testing services on behalf of various standardized tests for college admission and exams for international professional certification.
