Arthur Neyman (BAB ’27) is a rising junior majoring in the Bachelor of Arts in Business program at the American University of Armenia (AUA). Since childhood, Neyman has been passionate about music and its power for self-expression. He graduated from the Sayat-Nova School of Music, where he studied classical guitar. To maintain a dynamic musical curiosity, Neyman actively engages in self-learning and embraces new instruments alongside his formal musical education. Currently, he practices the piano.
Upon beginning his education at AUA, Neyman joined the University’s music club, Resonance, and, within one year, became its leader. In this role, he collaborates with other student clubs and local universities in Armenia to organize events with musical performances.
Comprised of 30 active members, the Resonance Music Club focuses on a wide array of genres, ranging from pop music to hard metal. As a team leader, Arthur promotes a collaborative environment, where each member can initiate ideas. While a formal musical background is not mandatory to join the club, it can enhance one’s musical proficiency.
“I was genuinely surprised to discover the impressive musical talent and dedication within the AUA student body. Resonance Music Club is a community in which students can express their abilities and ensure their talents are not neglected. It is also a way for students to enjoy university life beyond academics and connect through a shared love for music. We value the opportunities to perform for the AUA community and are fortunate to have Dr. Artur Avanesov as our mentor,” said Neyman.
Regarding the future of Resonance Music Club, Neyman hopes to continue expanding the team, gain further recognition within the AUA community, and collaborate with local Armenian bands. Most importantly, he strives to continue inspiring students who consider music a central part of their identity.
