PSIA Seminar: Religious Policy, Humanitarian Action, and Proselytism

About the Event:
An agreed aspect of human rights, proselytizing, is criticized in many countries. Moreover, the history of human rights demonstrates that freedom of religion and proselytism in combination with humanitarian action are strongly controversial. This lecture will focus on Armenia’s religious policy in this respect. In particular, it will touch upon issues of proselytism that are considered as threats in some ways and whether there are benefits from such groups in terms of humanitarian action and social capital.
