Education in Small States: A Roundtable Discussion

July 25, 2019 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm +04

About the Event:

Small states face various challenges but also have distinct advantages and opportunities stemming from their territory and population size. Being a small state impacts on how education (particularly higher education) develops in a country. The informal roundtable discussion will explore the specificities of being a good university in a small country, based on Armenia’s and Iceland’s experiences. The Turpanjian Center for Policy Analysis Initiative for Small States invites all interested parties to join us for this conversation.

Discussion participants:

Margrét Sigrún Björnsdóttir (University of Iceland)
Elva Ellertsdóttir (University of Iceland)
Don Fuller (AUA), Narek Mkrtchyan (AUA)
Armenian National Assembly)
Narek Manukyan (AUA Alumnus, education expert)

Moderator: Yevgenya Paturyan (AUA)

Language: English
