YEREVAN, Armenia – On April 1, 2019, the Turpanjian Center for Policy Analysis (TCPA) of the American University of Armenia (AUA) Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) program received fifteen issues of Caucasus Survey donated by Dr. Laurence Broers, the  Co-Founder and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal and research associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, UK.

Caucasus Survey, a journal of the International Association for the Study of the Caucasus, is crucial for the study of the region. According to Dr. Broers, “Caucasus Survey is the only independent, peer-reviewed and regularly published journal dedicated to the study of the Caucasus: the independent republics of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, de facto states in the area and the North Caucasian republics and regions of the Russian Federation. Also covered are issues relating to the Republic of Kalmykia, Crimea, the Cossacks, Nogays, and Caucasian diasporas. Multidisciplinary in scope, Caucasus Survey aims to advance an area studies tradition in the humanities and social sciences about and from the Caucasus.”

The journal has been indexed in Scopus since 2017, and was described by Scopus as “a regional specialty journal of exceptional quality and a very strong citation profile. It is a must-read journal for anyone interested in the politics, economics, and societies of the Caucasus region.”

The AUA community can access all the issues from 2013 to 2019 at the TCPA.

The AUA PSIA program equips students with advanced analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and communication skills through the study of political science and international affairs, emphasizing local and global perspectives and practical applications of theory. The program aims to provide world-class research and teaching, through which graduates can best contribute to the development of the nation.
