AUA President Dr. Der Kiureghian Presented with Eponymous Domain

YEREVAN, Armenia – On February 26, as part of the .հայ domain promotional campaign, the President of the Internet Society of Armenia (ISOC AM), Igor Mkrtumyan, and board members were welcomed at the American University of Armenia (AUA) to present the domain “տեր-կյուրեղյան.հայ” and the subdomain “արմեն.տեր-կյուրեղյան.հայ” to AUA President Dr. Armen Der Kiureghian.

Since 2015, ISOC AM has been managing the “.հայ” and “.am” country code top-level domains (ccTLD). The launch of the “.հայ” domain aims to promote the national alphabet on the Internet and to develop local content accessible to only those who speak Armenian. At present, anybody can register their own domain name in the “.հայ” domain with the support of 13 registrar companies.
