Dr. Mane Beglaryan Among AUA Faculty Participating in Erasmus+ Mobility Program

< 1 min read

YEREVAN, Armenia – Earlier this summer, Dr. Mane Beglaryan, lecturer at the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics, was among AUA faculty involved in an exchange within the framework of the Erasmus+ Mobility program. Dr. Beglaryan spent a week in Nantes, France, and taught a week-long course on  Human Resources Essentials at the Audencia Business School. The course, as Dr. Beglaryan indicates, “familiarizes  the students with the key aspects of employee management, covering everything from strategic HR planning, recruitment and  selection practices, learning and development for employee engagement and growth all the way to succession planning, retention, and exit.”

“It was a pleasure to teach HR Essentials to a group of young, enthusiastic and motivated students.” Dr. Beglaryan reflected, “The class comprised students representing Europe, Asia and the United States. It was a very dynamic group – quite fulfilling for me to manage all of that diversity in a teaching setting. I should add that  I was quite  impressed with the maturity and knowledge of the students, even though not many of them had taken a formal management course previously.”

Dr. Beglaryan highlights the importance of exchange programs like Erasmus+ in terms of fostering the visibility of both institutions and creating opportunities for great experiences for the exchange students, staff, and the faculty. “The fact that, in a small city such as Nantes, people know about the American University of Armenia through students and visiting faculty, is a direct result of this partnership which I hope will be nurtured and expanded further. I am excited to learn about our students’ experiences with a semester abroad as well as the incoming students from Audencia.”
