The Psychology of Building a Successful Career by Astghik Sargsian

YEREVAN, Armenia – On April 15th, the American University of Armenia (AUA) Office of Alumni Relations and Career Development hosted an interactive workshop for AUA community members who were interested in learning how to develop a successful career. The workshop was led by Astghik Sargsian.

Attendees were invited to bring topical questions of interest and concern to the workshop. In addition to a Q&A session with Ms. Sargisian, they were provided an overview on the following topics: identifying strengths and skills in order choose the career that fits best, changing perspectives on failure by learning from mistakes, knowing the importance of healthy relationships at work and how to maintain them, and effectively building competencies for promotion.

Astghik Sargsian is a writer, researcher, and local leader of Aglow International. She teaches courses in Creative Thinking, Success & Achievement and Creative Writing Psychology at Yerevan State University of Linguistics and Social Sciences (YSULSS), where she also studied international journalism. She is currently researching creative writing psychology,  an interdisciplinary field of study that asks and answers questions about the mysteries of the creative process.
