Best Practices in Recruitment-Industry and Firm Perspective: KPMG Armenia

YEREVAN, Armenia –The third guest speaker of the HR Management course of the College of Business and Economics was welcomed on February 23rd for a private talk with the AUA community.

Sona Martirosyan is a Senior Manager in KPMG Armenia and also the Head of the HR Department. Over the course of more than 13 years with KPMG, Sona has gained notable success in managing and leading a broad range of corporate HR initiatives. For seven of those years, she has been leading the HR practice in Armenia with a grand regional (Georgia) HR role. Sona has MA degree from Yerevan State University and recently studied CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel development) at ICS in the UK.

Sona has earned her title as a complete ‘HR Guru’, and has been invited to participate in a large number of courses, trainings, conferences in people management, soft skills, HR related topics in the UK, Poland, Vienna, Portugal, Russia, Armenia and is a notable author of various publications/articles related to HRM.

During the talk she shared her experiences in participating in planning, analyzing and implementing solutions in support of business objectives in Armenia, Georgia and CIS. The AUA community was very pleased to not only sit in this important discussion, but also learned much from Sona’s insight in managing HR restructuring  projects for large offices, implementing performance development tools, comprehensive HR strategic development initiatives.
