Wolfram Research, Inc. Talks Company Overview and Opportunities with CSE Students

YEREVAN, Armenia – On April 2, 2015, the American University of Armenia (AUA) College of Science and Engineering (CSE) hosted Mikayel Egibyan, a representative from Wolfram Research, Inc., an integrated technical computing software company. The goal of the presentation was to introduce students to the company and its products, mainly Wolfram Language, a unique convergence of computation and knowledge.

The speaker provided an overview of the functionality supported by Wolfram Language and also gave a more in-depth explanation of its image processing capabilities, of which he is currently doing a project on. Egibyan also mentioned the company’s interest in collaborating with Armenia and gave a description of the new hiring campaign aimed at forming a team of developers in Armenia who will directly contribute to Wolfram Language.

Mikayel Egibyan has a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics and Applied Mathematics from Yerevan State University. He continued his studies in Germany, where he received his Master’s degree in Visual Computing. Mikayel Egibyan is a member of the R&D, ImageProcessing team at Wolfram Research.
