Dr. Kevin Adkin Joins Acopian Center for the Environment as Teaching Faculty

image001YEREVAN, Armenia – The American University of Armenia (AUA) Acopian Center for the Environment is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Adkin has joined as a teaching faculty member. Dr. Adkin’s topics include corporate environmentalism, environmental policy, climate change, population growth and environmental impact, and urbanization.

Dr. Adkin will teach AUA’s graduate- and undergraduate-level environmental courses, namely, Introduction to Environmental Science (ENVS 101), Environmental Projects (ENVS 202), Natural Environment and Humans (ENVS 300), and Business and Environmental Sustainability (BUS 391).

Dr. Adkin previously taught at the University of Delaware and Widener University. He instructed World Regional and Cultural Geography courses and assisted with a Human Geography course.  Additionally, he completed a one year Higher Education Teaching Certification program offered by the University of Delaware.

He is an author and co-author of a number of presentations and publications related to environmental topics, such as climate change and environmental justice, as well as teaching effectiveness and student learning.

Dr. Adkin holds his Ph.D. in Urban Affairs & Public Policy from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, his M.A. in Geography from University of Delaware, Newark, DE, and his B.A. in Geography and Philosophy from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Millersville, PA.
