AUA Faculty Member Contributes to New Book on South Caucasus

Relligion book coverYEREVAN, Armenia – Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Lecturer in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at the American University of Armenia (AUA) has contributed to a new book titled “Religion, Nation and Democracy in the South Caucasus.”

The book, edited by Alexander Agadjanian, Ansgar Jödicke and Evert van der Zweerde and published by Routledge, focuses on the development of religion, historical traditions, national consciousness, and political culture in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, and explores how these elements interact.

Hovhannes Hovha​n​nisyan teaches I​n​​troduction to Relig​io​n at AUA and is also on the Faculty of Theology at Yerevan State University.​ From 2012-2014, Hovhannisyan was a visiting Fellow at Yale University.
