YEREVAN, Armenia – The American University of Armenia (AUA) recently received four donations from members of the Armenian International Women’s Association-Los Angeles (AIWA-LA) to sponsor female Armenian students at AUA throughout their studies.

Mrs. Elizabeth Agbabian, Ms. Jessica Vartoughian and Ms. Argine Jean Kelegian, as well as the AIWA-LA Chapter as a whole, each pledged to give $10,000 over four years to fund scholarships for female Armenian students, thereby enabling AUA to continue providing an excellent education to eligible students in Armenia.

Founded in 1991, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is a private, independent university located in Yerevan, Armenia and affiliated with the University of California. AUA provides a global education in Armenia and the region, offering high-quality, graduate and undergraduate studies, encouraging civic engagement, and promoting public service and democratic values.
